Virginia E. 'Ginnie' Taber Scovill, 90

West Sand Lake - Virginia E. 'Ginnie' Taber Scovill, 90, of RT 43 died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Frederick Taber and Anna Linster Taber and wife of the late Robert J. Scovill. She was raised in Clinton Heights, resided most of her life in West Sand Lake and wintered in Pompano Beach, FL for many years and was a graduate of Albany High School.

Mrs. Scovill was vice president and treasurer of Colehamer & Fellows in Troy for 20 years, retiring 25 years ago.

She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sand Lake and a member of the West Sand Lake Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan S. Mack, West Sand Lake; three grandchildren, Robert C. Mack, Amsterdam, Paige M. (Gregory) Mills, Minoa and Andrew B. (Melinda) Mack, Forest Hills; three great grandchildren, Aubrey and Henry Mills and Lucas Mack and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond C. Taber.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Saturday from 12 noon- 1:30 PM.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. James A. Hulihan, Pastor , officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Virginia E. Scovill to the Trinity Lutheran Church PO Box 419 West Sand Lake, NY 12196 or The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144.
