Margaret Hart Sherlock

Margaret Hart Sherlock, 90

Troy Margaret Hart Sherlock died at the age of ninety on October 19, 2003 at her home in the James A. Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy, New York, where she had lived for the last five years. Prior to this she was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri. She was the widow of the late John M. Sherlock who died in 1982. Before she retired in 1980, she was a deputy in the office of the Clerk of the United States District Court in Kansas City. A member of St. Stephen Catholic Church (now Our Lady of Peace) she served in the past as president of its Altar Society and school PTA.

She leaves one son, Vincent M. Sherlock and his wife Rosalie of Kansas City, a daughter Claire Dalton and her husband James of Rensselaer, New York, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Sherlock and her husband Tim of San Bernadino, California.

Margaret Sherlock had a smile that would light up the world and a disposition that brought joy into it She will be sorely missed but continues to bring joy to all who have known her. Requiescat in pace.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (1029 Bennington Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri) at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Friends may call from 6:00 to 8.00 PM on Friday, October 24 at the Sheil Funeral Home, 6606 Independence Avenue. The family suggests contributions either to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church or to a charity of one's choice in her name.
