Gordon Marcus 'Red' Hogle

West Sand Lake - Gordon Marcus 'Red' Hogle, 77, of Brookside Way died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center Albany, after a brief illness.
Born in Averill Park, he was son of the late George Hogle and Elsie Kie Hogle. He had resided in West Sand Lake and Watervliet all his life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School.
Mr. Hogle was a diesel mechanic and tow truck driver for many years, most recently at Hall and Hayes in Albany and previously for Reliable Towing and Trucking.
He was a member of the Ukranian Club in Watervliet and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War where he was an aircraft mechanic and instrument technician. During his life he was also a tug boat mechanic.
Survivors include his children, Marcus Gordon Hogle of Green Island, Judith Mae (John) LaForest of Cohoes, Tammy Rose (Craig Bonesteel) Flynn of Watervliet and Timothy Robert (Jaimee) Hogle of Waterford; a sister-in-law, Annabell Hogle of Averill Park; his grandchildren, Marcus Z. Hogle, Brandi (James) Rotko, Richard LaForest, John Giroux, Alyssa and Sean Flynn and Christopher and Jonathan Bressette-Hogle; four great grandchildren, Kaylee and Paige LaForest and Jacob and Aidan Rotko and several nieces and nephews from Averill Park and Syracuse. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas (Arlene) Hogle and Robert Hogle.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 8AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
Contributions may be made in memory of Gordon Marcus Hogle to the VA Hospice program of Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center.
