North Greenbush Catherine E. Lowell Hale, 80, formerly of Meadow Road on Burden Lake, died Sunday at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late William E. and Mary Carney Lowell and wife of the late Harry C. Hale. She had resided on Burden Lake for many years and attended Troy schools.
Mrs. Hale was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Harry J. Hale (Diane) of Averill Park; two daughters, Kathleen M. Ayotte Sr.(Dennis Sr.) of Clifton Park and Phyllis E. Hale of Troy; two sisters, Bertha Myers and Agnes Burger both of Troy; six grandchildren, Rebecca Vanderbogart, Harry Hale Jr., Sarah Apfel, Jason and Katie Hale and Dennis R. Ayotte Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jenna Vanderbogart, Zachary and Marrissa Hale and Donovan and Matthew Ayotte and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several late brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:30am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. Thomas Konopka, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
