Charlotte Ostrander Simmonds

Rotterdam Charlotte R. Ostrander Simmonds, 91, of Bluff Road, died Tuesday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.
Born in Stamford, CT she was daughter of the late Arthur and Charlotte Goodfellow Ostrander and wife of the late Raymond F. Simmonds. She had resided in Stamford, Connecticut, then Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 36 years on West Sand Lake Road in Wynantskill, then Highland Avenue Troy and since 1994 in Rotterdam and was educated at Troy schools.
Mrs Simmonds was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy for over 60 years.
Survivors include a son the Rev. Richard F. Simmonds of Minto, Alaska; two brothers Donald Ostrander of Warrensburg and Grover Ostrander of Auburn, NY; two grandchildren Jeffrey and Christopher Simmonds both of Fairbanks, AK; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Marjorie D'Allaird.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
