It is never easy to lose a loved one but especially now in these truly unprecedented and difficult times the stress becomes even more enormous. Obviously this is true for all of us as well as funeral directors who are navigating new waters. Craig Bryce and his team helped me and my family dealing with a difficult situation because of the difficult times easier and less stressful. He guided me through the process and answered my questions before I had a chance to ask them. The level of caring and kindness was beyond wonderful and my family and I will forever be grateful. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Craig Bryce could not be more helpful, professional and thorough when it comes to preplanning a funeral. He carefully reviews all decisions that have to be made and allows the individual to choose how much or how little of those details they wish to plan ahead. I can tell you from personal experience it is a HUGE comfort and stress reliever for the family of the loved one that has died to have all these decisions made and the loved ones wishes made known before they pass.
When my husband recently passed there were still last minute details to be decided and Craig was very compassionate with our family while ensuring all the services would be reverent and run smoothly. This certainly made our sorrowful situation bearable, thanks to Craig Bryce at Bryce Funeral Home and we thank you Craig from Marie Mangione and Family.

I recently lost my sister suddenly in an apartment fire. She was 32, and unconventional. Bryce Funeral Home helped my family and I honor her memory extremely well. They were a partner in planning her services and managing the beginning of our grief.

Originally from Troy, Beth was studying in Syracuse when she passed away. My parents planned to use the only funeral home they knew, a large chain. I reached out to family and friends and Bryce was recommended to me. I am so glad we reached out to this family home. Craig Bryce was able to meet with me the one day that I had traveled to Troy while the hospital was preparing my sister for organ donation. He was kind and had a sense of humor. I was able to design my own prayer cards and purchase a casket for a reasonable price. There was no attempt to up-sell me, and Craig helped make suggestions that would be aligned with what I shared about my sister.

Bryce Funeral Home allowed me to bring in my own flowers from a farm my sister loved, give out seed packets, and help decorate the space around her casket. We were also able to display a picture board. I never felt like we couldn’t do exactly what we needed to in order to honor Beth. Craig was incredibly responsive. Our case was particularly difficult because my sister had died in a fire and we wanted to decide last minute whether or not to have an open casket. The home also had to arrange her travel from Syracuse, and helped me understand what the time frame for recovering her body might be given that she needed to donate organs and then be seen by a medical examiner. Craig helped manage my expectations and keep me continually updated.

I recommend Bryce Funeral Home to anyone in the area. I am grateful for the support they offered to my family and I.

To Craig Bryce and staff,
As I reflect on my mom’s last days with us there are two kind, caring, gentlemen that I will never forget.

On 8/26 when I realized that my mom was on her way to the kingdom of heaven the first person that came to mind was Father Anthony Ligato, who came immediately to give my mom her last rights.

The next day when she left us the first person that came to mind was my friend Craig Bryce who came as soon as I called, taking my mom from the Manor, to her services, and finally to her eterna resting place.

Craig, I have to say that it is very hard to put into words what you did for our family during this sorrowful and stressful time. Deb and I were completely overwhelmed with sadness, not knowing where to begin. From the moment you showed on the scene that sick desperate feeling deep in my gut subsided a little bit, knowing we were in such kind and respectful hands.

Your sincere concern, professionalism and expertise guided us through the entire process from beginning to end. Thank you for all the time you spent with me and Deb, explaining each step and helping us to make decisions that would have been impossible without you.

The service turned out as well as a funeral can, because of you and your staff who were truly outstanding. Every minor detail was perfect and my mom looked beautiful as her family and friends came to pay their respects and to say goodbye. You went far beyond the call of duty for my mom because that’s the kind of person you are - kind, thoughtful, dedicated - a class act.

At the end of the day I am certain that my mom would have approved and been proud of her services. When all was said and done I came away with a feeling of gratitude that Craig Bryce is my friend and that we chose Bryce Funeral Home to handle my mother’s passing.

Thank you my friend and God bless you for all you did for my mom. and all the people you serve!!!

Sincerely,
Lou & Deb Desso

Thank you for making our final celebratory tribute for my dad perfect.
Your support, professionalism, and immediate response every step of the way- answering my numerous questions and concerns, flower suggestions, encouraging the video, arranging for military, and attention to every detail. I know my dad is smiling down at his tribute, and thrilled that he had prearranged with you. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thanks.

Dear Craig,
From the unfortunate reason we began the process to work with you, until the end, every last detail was completed with perfection. It was completed with individualized care, concern and class. Your business being a four- generation business is so obvious, you provided the best service and comfort one would never expect to receive. Your accuracy, your thoughtfulness and your personality (your amazing personality) was evident every step of the way. It’s a terrible thing to go through but going through it with you made it that much easier. You’re a very special person and our family is so lucky to call you our friend. The tears were dried knowing we were in such good hands. No worries – No obstacles. I can only imagine how difficult it is to be in this business, but the gift you have and have used has helped innumerable families. We give you are heartfelt thanks for everything you’ve done for our family during this difficult time. Bryce Funeral Home is a staple within our community. Thank you, Craig!!

Thank you and your great staff so much for your excellent family and community centered services. At every point you skillfully “managed” the many challenges a family like ours can present while under emotional and physical stress, maintaining the professional boundaries you know from your long experience are in our best interests, while extending and stretching those boundaries to the limit to create a truly wonderful customer satisfaction.

Dear Craig and staff,
Many thanks to you and your staff for the care and attention to the services for my father-in-law. I grew up in Ohio and went to school with someone who still runs his family funeral home, a locally owned and community-minded service - what a difference both of you establishments provide at a difficult time for families. A special thanks to David for making time for me to retrieve my coat an ask how Joseph was doing Blessings.

Thank you Craig for your kindness, professionalism and guidance as my sisters and I planned our services for our Mom. You and your staff provided great reassurance and support by making the planning process easy, smooth and specific to our Mom. Dear Craig:
Now that things are settling down I realized that I didn't thank you and David for the wonderful job you did from picking Mom up at the assisted living facility and getting her to Troy. She looked wonderful and I can't thank you and David enough for all your work.
The complete service you provide is the best I've ever seen. It's outstanding and the family does nothing except show up for the viewing and be ready to be picked up for the funeral.
I'm so proud of David for what he's accomplished. He's quite a young man and I know how much it means to you having a nephew take over once you decide to retire.
Again, I can't thank you enough for all you did and have done for our family over the years.
Warm regards,
Joe

Craig,

Before the routine of life gets in the way, I wanted to thank you again for the absolutely superb service you, your family, and staff provided. I have never seen such a smooth operation where the details were all covered without the next of kin worrying about what needed to be done next. It was truly well done.

You were absolutely right about the service at the national cemetery. It was wonderful. If you happen to have contact information for the veterans group that provided the color guard, I would appreciate you sending it to me. I would like to thank them again as well as make a donation to their organization.

Thank you again, Craig. You made a very difficult time much, much easier.

Very respectfully,

Dennis P. Dragich, LtCol, USAF (Ret)

I would like to thank you and your staff for all you did for my family as we mourned the loss of our father. You were there for us every step of the way and helped us with our most difficult responsibility. The slide show of the pictures truly was magnificent and enabled us to celebrate his life. It not only was a great comfort to us, but it was a great way for mourners to reminisce and get to know him. Please know how much we appreciate all you did.

Dear Craig,
On behalf of the Francis - Flemming family I expresses our deep appreciation for your friendship and practical support since our dear Mother's passing last Sunday morning. You answered the phone at 3:30 a.m. as if you were awaiting my call. Since the funeral, our family has often asked the question, "What would we have done without the professional and caring service of Craig Bryce?" Fortunately, we never had to answer that baffling question!

Thank you for the pre-planning advice you gave us. I am so glad that I came to your office in 2013. As expected, every detail was addressed. Your "no-problem-can-do" spirit was always a source of encouragement. Indeed, you actually did "take care of everything" under your control --- an ever decreasing certainty in modern society.

You first cared for a family member who past in 1926. And so -- Our family has decided that we will stick with Bryce Funeral Home for additional 90 years!

God bless you, Craig. With warm, personal regards, we remain,
Sincerely yours

Thank you for doing such an excellent job in the arrangements for my mother's funeral services. All preparations were done efficiently, timely and in a professional manner. Our family would like to "Thank-You" from the bottom of our hearts for the way our mom's service was handled. You made everyone feel so comfortable at a very sad time for us. Other people whom attended also commented on how well everything was handled. Thanks so much for having such patience with our family on some of the decision-making parts and for putting up with our sense of humor. I guess it helps at a time like this to have a little of that. Till we meet again.

Our family wants to thank you so much for your guidance at this time. You are awesome. The Lord is certainly using you to make these times less difficult. Our assurance of our faith continues to be a blessing and your caring was also a blessing.

Where to begin? With the wonderfully caring way in which you handled Daddy's funeral arrangements? With your attention to detail? With your fantastic sense of humor at a time when humor is not expected but greatly appreciated? I would have to say all of the above. As you are well aware, this is the first time that I had to deal with a death of someone so close to me. I was apprehensive, nervous about making the right decisions and very, very sad. You led me in all the right directions and guided me so well. You put me at ease and helped me vanquish all my fears. For that, I will be forever thankful.

You go out of your way to make sure families are pleased with the work you do. I will always be forever in your debt.

From the moment my sister, my husband and I met you earlier this week, right up to departing from the cemetery yesterday, you and your staff delivered the utmost professional product. In addition you gifted our family with compassion, understanding, and respect for every one of us and our grief as we laid our Aunt to rest. I want you to know this because I've previously dealt with funeral homes that don't come near this mark of excellence. Your motto, "How we do our work, matters" struck me in the beginning as a grand goal to strive for. In the Process of this funeral your proved that you mean it. This meant everything to me. It has been a pleasure for our family to be associated with you through this very painful and emotional time. 'Thank you' seems inadequate but I know it means a lot, so thank you, from all of us.
