East Greenbush - Carole M. Gardner, 66, of Rockport Court died suddenly July 11, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Eagle Mills, she was daughter of the late Martin Pearson and Caroline (Mittelsted) Pearson DeFreest.
She resided in Eagle Mills until the age of 7 and then Defreestville and since 1989 in East Greenbush and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Carole was a receptionist at Miller Animal Hospital in North Greenbush for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Blooming Grove Reformed Church in Defreestville and formerly the Nursery School Board of the church and a member of the Defreestville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy L. (Derek) Narbon of Rensselaer; her son, Kevin R. Gardner of New York City; a granddaughter, Monica H. Narbon; a step brother, Dudley DeFreest; a step sister, Emmaline DeFreest and her special friends for 61 years, Beverley Sliter and Shirley Wilde.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Carl Hiemstra, officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8PM.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery.
