Robert E. 'Bro. Bob' Brimmer , 64

Troy Robert E. 'Bro. Bob' Brimmer , 64 ,of Lilac Lane Troy, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Mildred (Hayner) Brimmer of Troy and the late Elmer Brimmer.

He had resided all his life in Troy and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Bro. Bob was employed as a plumber for the plumbers union, Hastings Oil, RPI and most recently for James Schirmer & Sons Plumbing and Heating in Averill Park.

He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and fisherman and a member of the New York National Guard.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a daughter, Lisa Higgs (Glenn) of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Alma (John) DeFazio of Taborton; two brothers, Richard 'Butch' (Gail) Brimmer of Wynantskill and Ronald Brimmer of Troy and two grandchildren, Robert 'Chad' and Courtney Higgs and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Bobby Brimmer and a sister, Patricia M. Waters.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery.
