Dear Gary,
My dad told me yesterday that Mary lost a battle with an aggressive cancer and last month and passed away. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. You and the kids are in my heart and mind during this difficult and painful time.

My memories of living upstairs from you and Mary are numerous and full of scenes of talking and laughing with Mary. She had an incredible sense of humor and practicality that seemed to make everything ok. I especially loved her laugh. Her loyalty, care giving and support for her friends and family stand out to me. I’m sorry she has been taken away from you so early.

May you find and continue to seek comfort in the memories of her life and the legacy she left to you and the wider community. I’m so sorry Gary. My heartfelt prayers, love and support are with you.

My deepest sympathy,

Danielle

Gary, Kelly, Mathew and Heather,
I was so sad to learn of MaryLee's passing. Although I hadn't seen her very much since we all grew up and left home, I have many fond memories of spending time with her and her family when we were growing up. She will be missed by many, and although she is no longer with us, she will remain in our hearts forever. Keith

I was so saddened to see that Mary Lee passed away. I was friends with Mary Lee from Kindergarten at School 16 through Troy High School class of 1973. I spent many times at her family home in Troy and was always welcomed by her mom and dad. Although we lost contact over the years, I thought of her often. My condolences to the Pemrick and Dormandy families.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain you are going through right now. The Bible describes death as "the last enemy." (1 Cor. 15:26) It breaks into our lives and robs us of those we love. But God gives us hope, for he promises to reunite us with those we've lost on a beautiful paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. (Isaiah 26:19, Revelation 21:4) May these promises help you to cope with the days ahead.

Dear Gary and family,
I am very sad to have heard, within days, first of Mary's illness and then of her passing. I always enjoyed talking to both of you and watching your children grow. Mary's smile certainly helped me over a number of problems. Sending you the best wishes for peace to settle in, the way Mary would have hoped for, I want you to know that I am thinking of you.
