Watervliet - Hagop 'Jack' Patoukian, 84, of 6th Avenue died Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Utica Masonic Home, Utica, NY after a brief illness.
Born and educated in Greece, he was son of the late Krikor Patoukian and Arshagouhi Vartougian Patoukian and husband of Mary Nazarian Patoukian. He moved from Greece with his family in 1956 and has resided in Watervliet for the past 53 years.
Jack worked as a manager of Commodore Cleaners in Troy and retired from Henry's Cleaners in Schenectady after 20 years.
He was very involved with Masonic organizations, the Knights of Vartan, Apollo King Solomon Masonic Lodge for 46 years and a member of the Oriental Shrine for 30 years. He enjoyed reading and playing backgammon.
Survivors include two nephews, Krikor Pattoukian, FL, Armen (Teresa) Pattoukian, Canada and a niece, Sonia Pattoukian. He was predeceased by a brother, Vahak (Maro) Pattoukian.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church 100 Troy-Schenectady Road Watervliet on Friday from 9-11AM with the funeral service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
