Doug,

Mickey and I consider you as family. We already deeply miss you. You were the best friend the Sergeant Major had and I know he is happy to see you again.

Doug was my other brother! Even though I rarely saw him in these last few years, he was always loving and kind esp when I lost my son. He was a wonderful husband to my sister Marilyn and a good dad to Laurie and Scott. He and Kathy were so considerate and kind to my parents and our family. I will never forget and am honored to have known Doug for 64 yrs. God bless you and yours.

Doug was a loyal friend and beloved by his family. He will be missed for his helpful and friendly ways. Doug had sense of humor that was contagious along with his hearty laugh. Even though I haven't seen Doug in awhile the memories I carry with me are vivid and enduring.

Dear Kathy, Stephen, and family,

Our hearts go out to you with love and prayers of comfort. Doug was such a warm, and gentle man, always upbeat and full of good humor. Whenever I was around Doug I always left with a smile and a feeling of warmth in my heart that radiate from him. I will miss him standing out in front of your camp waiting for the swimmers for the annual swim across the lake. He was always entertaining and kept us laughing while we waited for the horn to blow, it won't be the same without him there. Keeping you close in thought and our hearts. Love to all of you.
