Wynantskill Betty Donovan Maloney, 74, of Marion Avenue, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Gerald and Edna Murphy Donovan and wife of the late Robert James Maloney who died in February of 2001. She had resided in Wynantskill for the past 43 years and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended the College of Saint Rose.
Mrs. Maloney was employed as a secretary for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany for 15 years retiring in 1990.
She was a member of the Van Schaick Island Country Club, the Watervliet Bridge Club and communicant of St. Jude's Church in Wynantskill.
Survivors include a daughter Karen Cornwell and husband Gary of Loudonville; a son Robert Maloney and wife Patty of Hopedale, MA; five grandchildren Trisha and Traci Cornwell and Christopher, Connor and Kathleen Maloney; four sisters and brothers-in-law Helen and Joseph Vece of Troy, Rita Tippins of Troy and John Maloney of Rockville, MD and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Edna Lamb.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8PM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
