Dear Ellen, John and Family,

Your father was a gentleman in the true sense of the word. As a young girl I always liked your parents and feel so fortunate that we were able to get together again the last few years to spend time with Steve and you and John. My husband was very impressed with your Dad, his artwork, his history and his ability to take care of himself and take an interest in life in his older age. I hope my father was there to welcome him into eternal life-cousins reunited!

Dear Ellen and John,

Steve brought such love not only to my Mom, but to our entire family. He was a wonderful man. I will always remember our trip to Newport RI and how much he enjoyed looking at the artists works in the mansions. Such a kind and lovely person. May you have peace.

Much love,
Colleen Asbury

Ellen,John, and Family,

When Steve and our Mom met, little did we realize what an impact he would have on our family. First, it was a beautiful love story. Secondly, I got a 'Second Dad'! Steve touched all of us with his love, knowledge, grace, and his artistic abilities. He was always a gentleman with a great sense of humor. What a wonderful laugh he had! We will treasure our memories of him. Steve will be deeply missed.

Love,
Joe and Janice Strang

Dear Ellen , John and Family,
We will really miss Uncle Steve. He was a wonderful person. One we will remember forever. His autumn watercolor painting he did for us for our first home, now occupies the best spot in our present house. Also have the ducks he gave us last time we saw him, hanging right under that painting.Told him many times, he ever wanted to put the watercolor in a show, make sure I got it right back.
Wish we were closer so we could come down to be with you at this difficult time , but you know we are with yo u in spirit, if not in person.
Take care of yourselves. Love, Ellen and Gil
