Stephen 'ghettoman' A. LaMere, 54

Troy - Stephen 'ghettoman' A. LaMere, 54, of Fifth Avenue died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Roy V. LaMere and Elsie J. Moran Wallace and husband of the love of his life Jacquelyn Lillis LaMere. He had resided in Troy all his life and attended Troy schools.

Mr. LaMere was a truck driver for many years and most recently for Shaker Group in Albany for the past 5 years, retiring 8 years ago.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing horseshoes, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Stephen A. LaMere II, Troy, Jacquelyn Yerden, Berlin, Ashley and Rebecca LaMere, both of Troy and Kenneth Jamacy, Rotterdam; his siblings, Roy V. LaMere Jr., Binghamton, William H. LaMere, Schaghticoke, Betty Jean Doolittle, Grafton, Ronald LaMere, Binghampton, Angel LaMere, Keesville, Mark LaMere, Green Island, Scott LaMere, Cohoes, Jamie LaMere, Troy, Mary Jo Hathaway, Troy, Love Kilventon, Cohoes and Christopher LaMere Sr., Waterford; three grandchildren, Hannah, Layla, and Nathan Yerdon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Sue Anne Reynolds LaMere; his siblings, Carol, Henry, Anthony and Sue Anne LaMere and Charlotte Marsh.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 3-6 PM with a funeral service at 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Stephen A. LaMere to the Rubin Dialysis Center 1850 Peoples Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
