Marjorie Elizabeth Wortz, 91

Troy - Marjorie Elizabeth Wortz, 91, formerly of Meadow Drive died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Van Rensselaer Manor.

Born in Worcester, MA, she was daughter of the late Walter Joseph Worton and Hazel Mae Tilley Worton and wife of the late John Leslie Wortz. She was raised in Watervliet, resided in North Greenbush for over 72 years and was a graduate of Watervliet High School.

Mrs. Wortz was a homemaker.

For many years she taught Sunday School to the children of Christ Reformed Church of Watervliet.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna (Terry) DeLong, Edgewater, FL, Cheryl (James) Croll, Averill Park, and Connie (Richard) Russell, Troy; her grandchildren, Scott and Ronald DeLong, Gregory (Christina) Croll, Jessica (Timothy) Kane, Kevin (Tara Kim) and Richard (Lauren) Russell and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Anna Croll, Brayden Russell and Jacob Russell. She was predeceased by a sister, Miriam Meeson.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie.

The family wishes to thank the staff of C2 at Van Rensselaer Manor for the care given to their mom.
