Louis J Caruso Sr., 94

Troy - Louis J Caruso Sr., 94, of Brunswick Park Drive died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Michael Caruso and Maria Grazia Petroccia Caruso and husband of the late Yolanda E. Caruso. He had resided in Troy all his life.

Mr. Caruso Sr. was employed by Tek Hughes for 25 years and RPI as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement. He was an Army Air force Veteran serving during WWII.

Lou enjoyed gardening, puzzles, working around the house, and helping his son Lou. He loved spending Mondays and Tuesday in the garage with his son Lou and friends Chris, Dern, 'Subby' and Bob talking about the War, old times, and the market street boys.

Survivors include his sons Raymond Caruso and Louis J. (Rosemary) Caruso Jr. both of Troy; sister Angie Caruso Wilk, Troy and brother Marco Caruso, Latham; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael Caruso; his brothers Benjamin, Michael and Nicholas Caruso; and his sister Antoinette Centrella.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Randall Patterson , Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.

The family would like to thank the ER and CCU nurses and staff at Samaritan Hospital for their wonderful care.
