Guenther CzakainskyMay 21, 2006
Wynantskill- Guenther Czakainsky, 88, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born September 12, 1917, in Berlin Germany, he was son of the late Ignatz Martin Czakainsky and Felicitas Nitka Czakainsky. He was a machinist at Tek Hughes.
Guenther was proud to be an American citizen. He was very involved in the Germania Hall Association in North Troy where he was a life member, served on the Board of Directors, was head bartender and a coach of the soccer team. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where he served as an usher.
Survivors include Mary Ciejka of Wynantskill, a niece, Martina Desrouscaux; four nephews, Wolfgang and Rainer Tuellmann and Ingomar and Thomas Czakainsky all of Germany and a step daughter, Anita Hopkins of Tribes Hill.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 3-6 PM. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.
