I am truly sorry for the loss of such a wonderful, caring person. I have many great memories from my early childhood visiting Edna and Phil at their home. I know that family meant the world to her.

It was such a pleasure to have known and worked with Edna. What a gem of a person.

I had the pleasure of working with Edna for just over ten years, and not once in that time did I ever hear a student, parent or colleague utter a negative word about her or her performance. She truly loved working with children and it could be seen in the smile she offered each and every child. Edna had the grace and dignity of a refined woman and she carried herself that way each and every day, in each and every situation.

Edna was always willing to look for newer and better ways to teach and was open minded at all times. She goes down in history as one of West Sand Lake Elementary School’s true Hall of Famers!

Edna, thank you for all that you did as a parent, grandparent, teacher and community member. You will truly be missed. I am just sorry that I now live so far away that I was unable to attend your memorial ceremony.

Dear Mary, Dee and Kathy,
The picture of your Mom so expresses her wonderful life of love toward those she lived with, worked with and got to know after meeting them. When she didn't want to live any more God was good to call her home to be with those who went before her to be with Jesus. I can hear them saying, "Job well done."
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
In Christian Love,
Ross and Mary French
