I was a chemistry major at RPI and had the pleasure of knowing Professor Hepfinger, his son (Mark) and Mark's wife (Lisa). He was a great guy. My fondest memory is from my first Thanksgiving at RPI. The entire campus was deserted, but Professor Hepfinger bumped into me on Thanksgiving day as I was entering the Chemistry building. He saw me and asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was going to have fun doing a few experiments in the lab while my Thanksgiving dinner was cooking in the oven back at my crappy apartment. He told me to forget about my turkey pot-pie and took me to his house to have dinner with his family. It was a truly great day and I'll never forget it. He was a great guy!
