Theresa M. (Fazioli) Marino

Columbia, MD - Theresa M. Fazioli Marino, 95, died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Gilchrist Center Howard County  Columbia after a recurrent bout of congestive heart failure.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Michael Fazioli and Anna Ricci Fazioli and wife of the late Vincent   Marino Jr. She had resided 88 years in Troy and since 2015 in Columbia, Maryland. Theresa was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, earned her Bachelors degree from the College of New Rochelle and her Master's degree from The College of Saint Rose. 

Theresa received immense joy from teaching children throughout her career for the Enlarged City School District of Troy.  The biggest accomplishment during the last 10 years of her career was teaching children to read.

She was a volunteer with the former St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and a Eucharistic Minister at Christ Sun of Justice.  She loved reading, the University of Notre Dame football, the New York Yankees, wintering with her husband in West Palm Beach, Florida, enjoying Lake George and Lake Winnipesaukee and sharing great times with the extended family in the Troy area, but most of all she cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren and being an integral part of their lives. 

Survivors include her children, Christine (Thomas) McKeever, West Friendship, MD, Vincent Marino III, Boulder, CO, Michael (Mary) Marino, Long Island, Maria (William) Nering, Stevenson Ranch, CA and Gerard (Patricia) Marino, Moultonborough, NH; her grandchildren, Nicholas(Christina) Marino, Kristen Marino, Michael Marino, Mark Marino, Jennifer (Michael) Powers and Allen(Jenna) Marden and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cameron Powers. 

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10 AM at Christ Sun of Justice, RPI Chapel and Cultural Center, Burdett Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Edward  Kacerguis. 

Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.
