Theresa Allen Hansen

TROY - Theresa Allen Hansen, age 69, died on December 20, 2025.

Born in Troy, Theresa was the youngest child of the late Edward Franklin Allen and Margaret Eileen Yaiser Allen and beloved wife for 35 years to the late Daniel Patrick Hansen. Theresa was a proud life-long resident of Troy and a graduate of Troy High School. 

Theresa spent 20 years at Computer Sciences Corporation of NYS Medicaid. She was known not just for her passion for helping others but also for her ability to bring laughter and fun to those around her. Theresa continued her commitment to helping others by serving as a Lunch Room Attendant at School 12 in Troy. 

Theresa enjoyed reading, word searches and being with her many friends, cousins, and siblings. 

Survivors include her five siblings, Sam Lowe (John), Patricia Allen CSJ, Edward J. Allen (Mimi), Margaret Allen, and Kathleen Allen Chan (Jones);  in-laws, Mark A. Hansen (Rita), David B. Hansen (Gail), Richard J. Hansen and Dennis R. Preger; nieces, Valerie Hansen and Christine Hansen, and nephew, Brian Hansen; her many loving cousins; and best buddy and confidant, her niece, Sammie Lowe McNulty (Michael). Theresa was predeceased by her sister, Mare Allen Preger.

Relatives and friends may call at Sacred Heart Church, 475 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, December 29, 2025 beginning at 10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12:00 PM.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
