Suzanne R. (Rebhun) Pohlmann

North Greenbush - Suzanne R. Pohlmann, 57, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Charles J. Rebhun and Ruth A. (Lynd) Rebhun and wife for 29 years of Vernerd M. Pohlmann. She was a graduate of Averill Park High School and resided in North Greenbush for the past 21 years.

Sue was employed as a benefit administrator for the Office of General Services in Albany for three years. Prior to her employment with OGS, Sue worked at Hudson Valley Community College as a program assistant for five years. Before this, Sue had the best job in the world- staying home raising their two children, who she was immensely proud of.

Sue was considered by her family to be fearless, independent, and fiercely loyal to her friends, family and work colleagues. She always put her children first and made sacrifices to make sure they had what they needed and more.

Sue enjoyed playing softball and riding her dirt bike at her sister’s ranch and was happiest going on long hikes with her husband and beloved Belgian Tervuren, Zeus; a breed of dog that she wanted for over 30 years.   

Survivors in addition to her husband, Vernerd, include her children, Brian G. Pohlmann and Katelyn N. Pohlmann; her siblings, Richard Rebhun, Sharon (Charles Dennis) Rebhun, Nancy (Christopher) Sciotti, Charles (Jean) Rebhun, and Leonard Rebhun; her brother-in-law, Bryan (Cindy) Pohlmann, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Christa Pohlmann; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the awesome staff from the Community Hospice and the wonderful nursing staff that assisted Sue. In addition, the family would like to thank Sue’s best friend in the world, Tammy Gagliardi, who was always there to remind Sue how much she was loved.

Family and friends are welcome to join the family to celebrate Sue’s life at the Wynantskill American Legion this Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2pm – 4pm.
