Sue Danielle Taylor

Troy - Sue Danielle Taylor, 51, died June 14, 2024, at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Keene, NH, she was daughter of Patt Taylor and Ginny Herrman Taylor and wife for 23 years of Cary Dresher. She was raised in North Andover, MA, resided in Portsmouth, NH for 10 years and in Troy the past 17 years. Sue earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of New Hampshire.

Sue was a Physical Therapy Assistant for CORE Physical Therapy in Albany for 5 years.  

She was a house-parent for Emma Willard School from 2007-2013 and an Assistant Coach at Skidmore College from 2008 to 2013, a head coach for Women's Crew at the University of New Hampshire from 1999-2006. Under her leadership, UNH won the New England Championships in her final year coaching at the university. Sue also had a passion for horses and she and her horses Champagne Promises and Maguire, competed up and down the east coast in national equestrian events. She also loved to compete in Ironman triathlons and marathons. Her love for outdoors found her climbing many mountaintops over the years.     

Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include a son, Noah Joseph Dresher; a daughter, Reilly Taylor Dresher; a brother, Ryan Patrick (Paula) Taylor; a sister-in-law, Ilyssa Moskow; her father-in-law and mother-in-law,  Donald and Linda Dresher and several nieces and nephews, Sarah, Maggie and Kiley Taylor and Jacob, Ethan and Piper Moskow.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy, NY on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4-6:30PM with a service at 6:30PM.  Following this, all are welcome to join in a celebration dinner of Sue at the Hilton Garden Inn, 235 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY. Room block under Taylor for anyone needing overnight accommodations.
