Shirley A. (Thurber) Hasbrouck

Grafton - Shirley A. Thurber Hasbrouck, 76, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief  illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Albert Thurber and Priscilla Wagar Thurber and wife of the late Ronald L.  Hasbrouck, Jr. She had resided in Grafton all her life and was a graduate of Tamarac schools. 

Shirley was a teachers aide for special needs at Brittonkill Central School for many years, retiring for 20 years.   

Grammy was a dedicated grandmother and so enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Shirley loved watching Hallmark movies and doing word searches..    

Survivors include two sons, Ronald R. Hasbrouck of North Carolina and Jonathan L. (Heather) Hasbrouck, of Grafton; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Carissa, Kaitlyn, Michael, Anthony, Lillian, Caleb, Colin, Carson and Harper; her siblings Richard and Gerald Thurber, Emma Vanburen and Helen Kennedy and her special friends,  Jack and Terri Kaschak.  She was predeceased by a brother, Albert "Butch" Thurber.

Celebration for the family will be held at a later date.
