Sandra A. (Sedgwick) Keefe

East Greenbush - On Saturday, May 28th after a long battle with cancer, Sandra A. Keefe passed away. 

Sandra was born March 8th, 1935, and was the daughter of John and Olive (Quandt) Graham, Jr. Sandra is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert J, Keefe. They were married May 13, 1961. She is also survived by her daughters, Barbara Keefe of Canandaigua, NY, Paula (David) Plew of Troy and Marcia Keefe of Clifton Park and by her grandson, Matthew (Chelsea Landor) Plew of East Greenbush. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia (John) Keefe; nephews, John (Joan) Keefe, Michael (Ana) Keefe, and niece, Linda (Randy) O'Melia, 5 great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Sandra graduated from Troy High School. She began her career at Troy Cooperative Savings and Loan. She also worked for the NYS Department of Civil Service, NYS Health Department, NYS Office of Mental Health at Capital District Psychiatric Center and at 44 Holland Avenue.

In addition to being a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Sandra was a communicant of St. Joseph's Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the PTA and worked on many fashion shows and bazaars. She was a member of the School 16 PTA where she worked on many Boys & Girls Night-Out Dinners. Sandra was an avid college basketball fan, baseball fan, and loved Jeopardy and Irish music. She also enjoyed trips to Wildwood, N.J. and Cape Cod with her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Church 416 Third Street Troy, NY 12180 or American Cancer Society One Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110 in her memory would be appreciated.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling AvenueTroy on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Friday, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home  Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9 AM at St. Joseph's Church 416 Third Street Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Phuong Ngo, O. Carm, Pastor, officiating. 

Interment will be in  St. Joseph's Cemetery Troy.
