Salvatore 'Nick' Nicholas Ritrovato Jr.

Troy - Salvatore Nicholas Ritrovato Jr., 70, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy,  he was the son of the late Salvatore N. Ritrovato and Dorothy Murray Ritrovato. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of LaSalle Institute. 

Nick  was employed in the maintenance department for the Rensselaer County Courthouse for 10 years and prior to that worked at Al Tech Specialty Steel for 30 years.  

He was a member of the Emerald Athletic Club, the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and camping. Nick was a major fan of the New York Giants and New York Mets.   

Survivors include four daughters, Ann Ritrovato, Troy, Barbara Ritrovato, Troy, Gina Ritrovato, Troy and Nikita Ritrovato, Cropseyville; a sister, Marjorie A. Ritrovato, Troy; a brother, Anthony L. (Patricia) Ritrovato, Troy; his grandchildren, Cailean Harrington, Mya and Gavin Munroe, Malahkai Hoffman, Luca LaBoissiere and Aidyn Madsen and his former wife and longtime friend, Patricia Ritrovato (Jaques).  He was predeceased by three sisters, Beverly J. Ritrovato, Sally J. Horton and Dolores M. Madsen.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Friday, at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy  where A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John  Yanas, Pastor. 

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
