Roland Messier, Sr. Obituary

Troy - Roland Nicholas Messier, Sr., 79, of Wynantskill, New York, passed away at his home on March 15, 2022.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Roland G. Messier and Isabell (Ritrovato) Messier.

He joined the Army at 18. Later, he was employed as a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Union Local 294 for several years until his early diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, his cars (especially his Cadillac), and spending time in Florida.

Survivors include his sons, Roland N. Messier, Jr., Wynantskill and Brian K. Messier, Troy; his grandchildren, Jessica Mouawad of Poestenkill, Nicholas and Jacob Messier of East Greenbush, and Keith and Kayla Messier of Troy. As well as six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Roland was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Williams) Messier whom he loved endlessly.

At Roland’s request, there will be no services.
