Renee Kathryn (Hozley) Babineau

Wynantskill - Renee Kathryn Hozley Babineau, 73, died unexpectedly  Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital 

Born in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Hozley and Eleanor Gonyea Hozley and wife of the late Glenn A.  Babineau, Sr. She was raised in Schroon Lake, resided in North Hudson and in Wynantskill for the past 43 years and was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central Schools.

Renee was a housekeeper at Van Rensselaer Manor for 10 years, retiring in 2017.  

She had a passion for Halloween and enjoyed decorating her yard with elaborate displays with her grandson Austin. Renee could make anything. She loved arts and crafts, drawing and painting. She had a passion for birds, butterfly’s and her dogs.    

Survivors include her children, Corinna (Albert) Maiello, Averill Park, Justin (Cherie) Russell, Greenfield Center, Shari Babineau, Wynantskill and Glenn (Alyssa) Babineau Jr., Clifton Park; her grandchildren, Austin Maiello, Ashton Russell, Alyssa Maiello, Abby Russell, Brynn Rokjer and Clayton Babineau; two sisters, Sharron Tyrrell and Donna Hozley and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Hozley.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10AM -12PM with a funeral service to follow at 12:15 PM with Rev. Edward  Kacerguis, officiating.

Interment will be in  New Rural Cemetery Rensselaer.
