Ralph R. Ruffinen

North Greenbush - Ralph R. Ruffinen, 65, of Ruffinen Drive died suddenly Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Elsa M. Hilzinger Ruffinen of North Greenbush and the late Robert Joseph Ruffinen. Happily Married for 24 years to his best friend and true love, Lori Salisbury Ruffinen. He was a lifelong resident of North Greenbush, a graduate of LaSalle Institute and attended Hudson Valley Community College. 

Ralph was a builder/developer and operated R&R Ruffinen Builders, Inc. in North Greenbush. He started his career in construction as a teenager working with is father and reluctantly retired in 2015 after falling ill.

Building was not only his career but also his passion. Besides his family, he took pride in being the original owner of his 1973 Mustang and he was a member of Brunswick Harley Davidson Club.   

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his children, Jason Peverly, Jenna (Timothy) Malone, Jakob Codi Ruffinen and Robert Joseph Ruffinen, all of  North Greenbush; two grandchildren, Aiden Peverly and Eliana Malone; three sisters, Evelyn E. (William) Kohler, North Greenbush, Linda E. Billiel, Greenfield, MA and Donna M. Lott, North Greenbush and several beloved nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service which will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, at Grace Fellowship church located at 73 Troy Road, East Greenbush NY 12061 starting at 6:30 PM.
