Pauline Gregor Hicok

Averill Park - Pauline Gregor Hicok, 78, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Stephen Gregor and Mildred Howansky Gregor and wife for 58 years of Paul W. Hicok. She was raised in Lansingburgh and resided in Saganaw, MI, Eagle Mills and the past 18 years in Averill Park.  She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, earned her Bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz and her Master's in Education from Russell Sage College.

Pauline was employed in the production department of Momentive Performance Materials in Waterford for 30 years, retiring in 2015. Prior to that, she was an elementary school teacher in Tamarac, Camden, South Carolina, and St. Joseph School in Green Island specializing in reading.  

She was an early member of La Leche League and a long time member of Hope United Methodist Church in Eagle Mills.  

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Benjamin (Rebecca) Hicok, Averill Park; a daughter, Nina (Paul) Van Valkenburgh, Niskayuna; her grandchildren, Jacklyn and Sarah Hicok and Samantha, Holly, Allison and Paul Van Valkenburgh; her siblings, Stephen Gregor, Barbara Cicchinelli and Jeffrey Gregor and several nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM with a funeral service following at 11:30AM with Rev. Thomas Trouwborst, officiating.

Interment will be in  Eagle Mills Cemetery Eagle Mills.
