Averill Park- Paul 'Skip' F. DuFour, 79, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Frank DuFour and Helen Elizabeth “Betty” (Trumble) DuFour. Paul grew up on Snyders Lake and has resided in the Averill Park area since 1978. He was a graduate of Averill Park High School.
Paul was dispatcher for the Rensselaer County Highway Department for 33 years retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He was a member of the Bailey Mountain Fish and Game Club in Wynantskill and loved to play lottery tickets. He loved spending time with his granddaughter and great grandsons.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori A. (Harley Stefanik) Pratt, Hoosick Falls; his son-in-law, Joseph W. (Kathy Peabody) Pratt, Jr.; his granddaughter, Heather (Andrew Arango) Pratt; his grandchildren, Trevin and Kamden Arango; his sister, Deanna (Sissy) Pulenskey; his close family friend, Ronald Merwin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas DuFour, Sr.
Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392NY150, West Sand Lake on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 4 - 6PM with a service to follow at 6PM with Rev. Edward Kacerguis, officiating.
