Glenn Heights, TX - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Patrick J. Marino (PJ), 67, of Glenn Heights, Texas, on March 26, 2025. Born in Kingston, NY, on November 22, 1957, Patrick grew up in Troy, NY, graduating from Troy High School in 1975 before earning a degree from Hudson Valley Community College.
Patrick proudly served 17 years in the United States Marine Corps, embodying discipline, integrity, and an unshakable sense of duty. After retiring from military service, he transitioned into a successful career as a regional plant manager for Schnee-Morehead, traveling the world and overseeing multiple facilities. Yet no matter how far work took him, his heart was always with his family—and he made sure they knew it.
Patrick’s love for his family was unmatched. He was the man who called just to check in, no matter how busy life got. His long phone calls were filled with updates—talking about work, the kids, the latest news, and, most importantly, making plans to visit. He wanted to hear everything about his loved ones’ lives, whether it was a big achievement or just an ordinary day. His calls weren’t just about staying in touch—they were his way of reminding everyone how much he cared. And when Patrick said, “We should plan a visit,” he meant it. Family was his greatest priority, and he made sure to create memories with them as often as possible.
He cherished family traditions, from summer vacations at Lake George to winter ski trips at Brodie Mountain, always ensuring his children and grandchildren experienced the same love and adventure he had growing up. He rarely missed a game, or major event, and when he couldn’t be there in person, you could count on a phone call to celebrate every moment.
Patrick had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys—a great meal, a Yankees game, a spirited debate, or sharing an old story with loved ones. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan, a passionate collector of memorabilia, and never passed up an opportunity to argue about baseball stats. An avid target shooter, he found peace and discipline at the range, channeling the same focus that defined his military years. But what truly made Patrick special was his ability to bring people together. His presence was larger than life, his laughter unforgettable, and his stories—always captivating.
Patrick is survived by his loving mother, Carol Marino Delano, and stepfather, Michael Delano, of Clifton Park; his children, Christina Guard of Kernersville, NC; Anthony Marino (Paige) of Waco, TX; and Elizabeth Umber (Christopher) of Robinson, TX; and his beloved grandchildren, Rileigh Weiss, Samuel and Abby Guard, and Zelvia and Joseph E. Marino.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Debra Marino Levy (Dan) of Delmar, and Joseph G. Marino (Brenda) of Averill Park; nephews Josh and Eric Levy, and Joseph P. Marino (Nicole); great-nephew Julian Marino; and a large extended family of aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his father, Pasquale J. Marino.
