Patricia "Trisha" A. (Meharg) Edelman

Nurse Honor Guard Ceremony and A celebration of life for Trisha Meharg Edelman on Thursday March 14, 2024 at Bryce Funeral Home Inc.

Averill Park - Patricia “Trisha” A. Meharg Edelman, 70, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Albany Medical Center Hospital New Scotland Avenue Albany after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late James W. Meharg and Clara Jane Lane Meharg and wife for 33 years of Peter S.  Edelman. She was a lifelong resident of Troy and Averill Park and was a graduate of School 16, Catholic Central High School and nursing school in St. Petersburg, FL.

Trisha was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany and for the past 7 years at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.  

Trisha was an exemplary cook, a movie buff and enjoyed Live Musical Theater. She loved reading and traveling, especially to Ogunquit, Maine “her happy place”. She adored her cats Minnie and Daisy and was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her siblings, Dr. Michael Patrick (Corinne)Meharg, Delmar, Dr. John J. (Chris) Meharg, San Francisco, CA and Catherine “Kitty” M. (William) Hammond, San Anselmo, CA and her nieces and nephews, Jesse (Colleen) Meharg, Erin (Carlton) Harris, Emily, Phoebe, Zoe and Livia Meharg, Finn and Beck Weldon and Theo, Sophia and Alivia Hammond

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4-6 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6PM.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery Watervliet.
