Averill Park - Patricia E. Manning Sheldrick, 84, passed peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness with her children by her side.
Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late Joseph Manning and Mildred Teal Ackart and stepdaughter of the late Keith Ackart. She was raised in Troy, resided in Averill Park for 20 years and since 2017 in Rensselaer and was a 1957 graduate of Troy High School.
Pat was a clerk for the New York State Department of Civil Service for 23 years, retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed crafting, including crocheting and enjoyed reading. She was an Airman in the Air Force, stationed at Mather Air Force Base in California during the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Christopher (Lisa Lane) Sheldrick, Averill Park; a daughter, Jodi (Paul Trong) Sheldrick, Sand Lake: her grandchildren, Jason (Heidi), Christopher (Alicia), Jenna and Ryan (Carley); great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kanyn, Kaeden, Theo, Hunter, Mason, Davey and Hyde and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Charles and William Manning and Debra Ackart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM at St. Henry's Church 39 Old Route 66 Averill Park with Rev. John Cronin, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Henry's Cemetery Averill Park.
