Patricia Ann (Palmer) Hoffmann

West Sand Lake - Patricia Ann Hoffmann, 91, of West Sand Lake and formerly Troy, N.Y., passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023. Beloved widow of Arthur H. Hoffmann. Loving and devoted mother of Arthur P. Hoffmann, Cheryl Hoffmann-Bray, Nancy Hoffmann, (the late) Donna Hoffmann, (the late) Suzanne Hoffmann, Tina (Hoffmann) Moss and her husband Michael Moss, Kristi (Hoffmann) Mason and her husband Adam Mason. Adored grandmother of Margaret McNamara, Arthur P. Hoffmann Jr. and his wife Lynn, Kara Rivera and her husband Pablo, Drieux Miller and her husband Eric, Petra Hoffmann and her husband Bret Samboy, Evan Hoffmann, Stacia Moss, Garret Moss, Nate Moss, Morgan Mason, Damon Mason, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Survived by her sisters Nancy Wunch and Elizabeth Murray, and her brother-in-law Edward Murray, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Also survived by her dearest friend, Doris Mattice. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Palmer and her parents Anne and Raymond Palmer.

Patricia grew up in Troy, NY and married Arthur on November 9, 1954. They raised seven children to whom Patricia devoted her life. Other than family, her interests included crafts, golf, and bowling (at age 84 she scored a 254 with eight consecutive strikes!) At one time she was President of her golf league and of her bowling league, the “Leisurettes”. Patricia had an upbeat, playful personality. She enjoyed making people laugh with her self-effacing humor. The larger family (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren) always gathered each Christmas at Patricia’s home for a joyous holiday full of good food, games, and much laughter. Patricia knew the ultimate life to live was to love and be loved in return. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank Lisa Barna and Lynn Neosen for the kind caregiving services they provided Mom at home, and to thank all the staff at Albany’s St. Peters Hospice, especially nurses Katie, Bert, Jan, and Mary, for their tender care of Mom and their kindness to all of us; God bless you all. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Friday, at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating. 

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
