Pastor Jessie C. Worsham

Schenectady - Pastor Jesse C. Worsham, 84, of Thompson Street died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Olustee, OK, he was son of the late Ernest E. Worsham and Marie C. Walker Worsham and husband of the late JoAnn  Burns Worsham, who died December 24, 2016. He had resided in West Sand Lake for 26 years then Schenectady and was a graduate of Altus High School, Altus, Oklahoma. 

Pastor Worsham was employed for 25 years in the grocery business prior to his calling to the ministry in 1969.  He served several churches including Pastor of the First Bible Baptist Church in West Sand Lake for 26 years at which time he operated the Liberty Christian Academy at the church and later  was Associate Pastor of the Victory Baptist Church and Lighthouse Baptist Church in Schenectady.  Over the years, he also worked for R.J. Giles Office Supply in Troy and Albany for 10 years.  

He was a member of Kiwanis many years ago and the Minister Alliance.    

Survivors include his children, Deborah J. (Rodney) Ernest, Schenectady, Pastor David L. (Janie) Worsham, Elk City, OK and Mary B. (Everett) Seifridsberger, Pittstown; a brother, Raymond H. Worsham, Kansas City, MO; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Homer E. and Richard E. Worsham.

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in  Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
