Troy - Nubar Sukljian, 95, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Samaritan Hospital after a Brief illness.
Born in Damascus, Syria, he was the son of the late Moses Sukljian and Siranoush Parseghian Sukljian and husband for 67 years of Ardemise Dekermendjian Sukljian. He was raised in Damascus, Syria and through the Lucas Trust Arcane School which was established by Alice Bailey, Nubar was elected as a mentor which gave him the opportunity to move to the United States. So, in 1954 he moved from Syria to Queens, NY and has resided in Troy since 1972.
Nubar was the owner of Ardex Cosmetics of America in Troy since 1989 and retired in 2018.
He enjoyed photography, cooking, traveling and was very close with his family.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Ardemise, includes his 3 children, Sira Sukljian, Troy, Moses (Sonia) Sukljian, Loudonville, and Loretta Sukljian, Troy; and his grandchildren, Nubar, Levon Shant, Moe Jr., and Christopher Daniel. He was predeceased by his siblings, Barkev Sukljian and Artin (Harry) Sukljian.
Relatives and friends may call at the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church, 255 Spring Avenue, Troy on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 10 - 11AM with a service following at 11AM.
Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.
