Norma Sharp Obituary

Averill Park - Norma Jane Henderson Sharp, 90, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center.

Born and raised in Warsaw, IN, she was daughter of the late Ray R. Henderson and Violet Dull Henderson. Norma moved to New York to work at the New York State Automobile Dealers Association, working in every department of the Association, where she eventually became the Executive Vice President, before retiring in 1998.

Norma made a home in Averill Park, NY for 60 years. She loved to garden, paint, cook and play piano. She found peace and enjoyment spending hours outdoors on the deck watching whatever wildlife wandered into the backyard.

Survivors include a son, Howard Sharp Jr., Averill Park; a daughter, Diane Bowen, Newbury, MA and a grandson, Evan Bowen, Astoria, NY. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Robert, and Samuel Henderson.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 4-6PM with a funeral service following at 6PM with Rev. Dr. Patricia Bush, officiating.  Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated.
