Norma E. (Bahret) Fagnant

North Greenbush - Norma E. Bahret Fagnant, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Van Rensselaer Manor surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Frederick G. Bahret and Edith Steele Bahret and wife of the late Arthur L. Fagnant. Her brother Harold, during the war, introduced her to her husband Arthur when they were home on leave from the Navy. She was raised in Albany, resided in Woonsocket, RI for 12 years and many years on Old Best Road in West Sand Lake prior to moving to St. Jude's Apartments in Wynantskill. She was a graduate of Albany High School. 

Norma was a housekeeper at Russell Sage College for several years, retiring 35 years ago and later worked with her son Gordon at Perfect Pizza in West Sand Lake, operating a donut shop.  

She was always active in many organizations including the Senior Center in Schodack and was secretary of Rouse for many years and involved in the dedication of the new Van Rensselaer Manor building. She enjoyed traveling including celebrating her 90th birthday in St. Augustine, Florida.    

Survivors include her children, Linda (Edward) Bonesteel, Troy, Shiela McLaughlin, Rutland, VT, Arthur (Bonnie) Fagnant, Clearwater, FL and Gordon (Diane Kelder) Fagnant, West Sand Lake; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers, Stephanie Pirrong, Laura and Jesse Griffeth, Johnathan McLaughlin and Jason (Samantha)Fagnant; her great grandchildren, Larissa, Jessica, Sarah, Jack, Lauren, Corbin and Haley; many great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Harold Bahret, Irene Clow, Gloria Tardiff, Aileen Alling, Joyce Noppa and Byrl Bahret. 

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.
