Nancy (Ciannamea) Morrissey

Troy - Nancy C. Ciannamea Morrissey, 93, died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Giuseppe Ciannamea and Pasqua Francese Ciannamea and wife of the late John E.  Morrissey, Sr. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. 

Nancy was employed as a Tenant Relations Manager for the Troy Housing Authority where she worked for 44 years, retiring in 2010.

She had a love of family.    

Survivors include her children, James Morrissey, John Morrissey, LouAnn Danaher and Joseph (Martha) Morrissey; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; special friend , Don Reilly and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son and daughter-in law, Robert and Carey Morrissey; a granddaughter, Erin Marks; a son-in-law, Michael Danaher and her siblings, Mario Ciannamea, Lucretia Rizzo, Nicholas Ciannamea, Justine Graber, Carmella Pennick, Antoinette Yamin, Anna Kehn and Joseph Ciannamea. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Sacred Heart Church  310 Spring Avenue Troy on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11AM with Rev. John Yanas, Pastor. 

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
