Micheileen J. (Okie) Treadwell

Troy - Micheileen J. Okie Treadwell, 77, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Buffalo, NY, she was daughter of the late Thaddeus F. Okie and Cecelia Mikolajczak Okie and wife of 28 years of the late Charles G. Treadwell. A long time resident of Troy, Micheileen earned 2 Master's Degrees from Fordham University and a PHD in Higher Education Administration from Columbia University.

Micheileen was a Financial Advisor for Ameriprise Financial for 24 years retiring in 2021. Previous to this she was director of admissions at the University at Albany for 12 years.

She was a board member of the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Albany Symphony, the SPAC Action Council, Albany Center Gallery and the Arts Center of the Capital Region.

She was an avid gardener, gala organizer, traveler, classical music enthusiast and a wonderful friend to many.

She was survived by her beloved son, Michael C. Treadwell.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4 - 7PM.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10AM at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Kacerguis, officiating.

Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.
