Troy - Mary Elizabeth "Bettye" Carr, 102, died Friday, March 14, 2025, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Charles Neth and Elizabeth Pfaff Neth and wife of the late Thomas Carr. She was a lifelong resident of Troy.

Bettye was a secretary for David W. Heer Realty and Gray and Garvey Law Office in Troy until her retirement in 1985.   

She was a member of the Saturday Morning Club.

Survivors include her children, Robert T. (Irene) Carr and Virginia M. Colby; her grandchildren, Suzanne (Joseph) Colla, Christine and Elizabeth Carr, Christopher (Sabina) Redfield, Adam Redfield, and Jonathan Colby; her great grandchildren, Robert T. (Rebecca) Colla, Andrew and Aimee Colla, Jaden Prince, Kamilla and Kolsen Redfield; and her great-great grandchildren, Augustine and Finnick Colla. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Arnold Neth and her son-in-law, Thomas Colby.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10 - 11AM with a service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Nick Tebordo, officiating.

Interment will be in  Memory Gardens Colonie.
