Mary A. (Burns) Farrell

Troy - Mary A. Burns Farrell, 92, died Monday, November 28, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was daughter of the late Elijah Burns and Jean Kelt Burns. She resided in Montreal for 23 years and later in Cohoes and in Troy. 

Mary did data entry for the State Bank of Albany/ Fleet Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1996 and volunteered for 20 years at Samaritan Hospital Cancer Registry Office.

She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist and a Sunday school teacher and Superintendent, a member of the Senior Citizen's in Troy and enjoyed crocheting and knitting, spending time with family and traveling.    

Survivors include her three sons, Joseph T. (Carol) Farrell, III, Wynantskill, Ian (Nancy)Farrell, Mechanicville and Timothy (Theresa) Farrell, Averill Park; a sister, Betty (Fred) Johnston, Texas; her grandchildren, Joseph (Becky), Ryan (Nicole) and Katherine Farrell, Meagan (Nick) Duncan and Adam (Jenn) and Griffin Farrell; her great grandchildren, Logan Koch, Declan Farrell, McKenna Duncan, Levi Farrell and Delaney Duncan and several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Bee.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11AM-1 PM with a service to follow at 1PM. 

Interment will be in  St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.
