Mary (Mikhitarian) Bernstein

Troy- Mary Bernstein, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023.

She was born in Troy, NY to the late Harry Mikhitarian and Mary (Bezjian) Mikhitarian.

Mary was a graduate of Troy High School. She worked for the New York Telephone Company for 25 years in the payroll department in Troy and Albany.

Mary also worked for over ten years for her brother, Harry at Latham Pharmacy.

Mary was a lifelong member of the United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church. Mary was also a dedicated volunteer of Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospitals. She also volunteered at the Telephone Pioneers of America and served on the board of the YMCA in Troy.

Mary enjoyed painting as a favorite past time and gifted some of her paintings to her friends. She also enjoyed knitting.

Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Charles, Albert, Jack and Harry Mikhitarian, Dorothy Donelian and Eliza Wronowski. Also a very special friend, Mark Baumbach. Many thanks to her aide, Emmy Angela.
