Wynantskill - Martin ‘Marty’ W. Krieck, Jr., 71, died Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Martin W. Krieck, Sr. and Bertha Nye Krieck and husband of Claire Simmons Krieck. Marty resided in Wynantskill since 1982.
Marty was a man of all trades. He spent most of his life working as a carpenter and as a maintenance man for the old Leonard Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital and most recently for the Vanderheyden Hall until his retirement in 2014.
He was an Eagle Scout and a 525 Troop Leader for many years.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include his 3 children, Katherine Mary (Steven) Yando, Troy, Martin W. (Angela) Kreick III, Wynantskill, and Laura (Richard) Campbell, Troy, NY; 7 Grandchildren; his sister, Anne Krieck; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Barbara Demchak and Patricia Cobo.
Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392NY150, West Sand Lake on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 4 - 6PM.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11 AM at DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will be in St. Henry's Cemetery Averill Park.
