Mark Josef Wiesnet

North Greenbush - Mark Josef Wiesnet, 58, died Friday, April 7, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of Paula M. Beierschoder Wiesnet of Wynantskill and the late George Josef Wiesnet. He was raised in Troy and resided most of his life in Wynantskill. Mark was a 1982 graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College for construction technology.

Mark was a union carpenter for Union Local 291 for 30 years working on many notable properties in the Capital District.  

He loved fishing, hunting and motorized sports.    

Survivors in addition to his mother include his sister,  Carla Marie Leubner, Wynantskill; his brother, Craig Martin (Christine Matson) Wiesnet, Brunswick; his brother-in-law, Courtland Leubner, Wynantskill; and his nieces and nephews,  Joseph Lynch, Carly, Darrick & Wes Leubner and Georg and Breanna Wiesnet.  

Relatives and friends may call at St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11AM

Relatives and friends may call at St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11AM with Rev. Patrick Rice, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in  St. Joseph's Cemetery Troy.
