Marie E. (Guilana) Margosian

Troy - Marie E. (Guilana) Margosian, 94, died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Peter Guilana and Maria Pujolar Guilana and wife of the late Edward  Margosian. She was a lifelong resident of Troy. 

Marie taught at Troy Public School 18 for 32 years, retiring in 1984.  Prior to that, from 1956-57 she taught at the US Air Force Dependent School in Bordeaux, France.

She was a member of New York State Retired Teachers' Association and New York State United Teachers. She was also a  Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary volunteer and a communicant of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Troy and Trinity Church of Watervliet. 

Survivors include her sister, Kathaleen A. Guyette; her nephews, Timothy P. Guyette and David P. Guyette.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
