Marian Ruth (Morgan) Rider

Brunswick - Marian Ruth Rider, 100, passed away, into the arms of the Lord, Monday, November 25, 2024, at her residence. 

She was born in Troy, November 16, 1924 to the late Harvey S. Morgan and Evelyn Thompson Morgan.  Marian lived most of her life in Troy and Brunswick. 

She was employed by the State of New York, retiring after 40 years in June of 1987 from the Department of Transportation. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Doug, in August of 1980 and her sister, Phyllis Morgan in August of 2010. She is survived by her 2 sons, Douglas Rider of Waterford and David Rider and his wife, Patti, of Glenmont; 2 grandchildren, Kelly and Kevin and her brother, Henry Morgan of Grafton. 

The family would like to thank Beth, Tena, Kamryn, and Leakhia for their compassionate care for Marian during the last two years, making it possible for her to remain in her home.
