Wynantskill - Margaret ‘Peg’ A. Brennan Dessinger, 83, died Friday, February 5, 2021, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Thomas A. Brennan and Catherine Clampett Brennan and wife of the late Charles W. Dessinger. She was raised in Troy and resided in Wynantskill for the past 53 years and was a graduate of St. Lawrence School and Catholic Central High School, class of 1955.
Peg retired from HSBC Bank on State Street in Albany as an Assistant Vice President and formerly was Manager of Customer Service for 21 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and its Rosary Alter Society. She was active in the phonathon and reunions at Catholic Central High School, a member of the 'Golden Girls' , meeting for lunch once a month and the Wynantskill Seniors.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Michael) Langevin, Colonie and a nephew, Gilbert C. (Kathy) Kalbus, Jr., Troy. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Kalbus.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 3-6PM.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 9AM at the funeral home and at 9:30AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Anthony Ligato , Pastor. Face covering and social distancing are required both outside and inside during visitation and services.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
