COLONIE - Lucy Kabalian, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late David and Eliza Malkonian Aprahamian. Lucy was predeceased by her husband, and love of her life, Harry Kabalian.
Lucy graduated from Troy High School in 1945. She worked for over 25 years in the accounting department at Tek Hughes in Watervliet. Lucy's true passions were her faith and family. She was a proud member of the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church in Troy and its Ladies Guild, where she would often cook and prepare for the many dinners, picnics, and bazaars.
Her greatest happiness came from her family. She enjoyed the simplest of pleasures. She loved reading the Sunday paper cover to cover with her husband, board games with the family, and movie nights.
Lucy was a loving grandmother who adored her grandchildren with all her heart. She loved sleepovers and taking them out to lunches at different restaurants. She was so proud of watching them grow to achieve their many milestones. Her spirit and love will continue to be part of their lives.
Lucy is survived by her son, Harry Kabalian (MaryBeth). She was the loving "Menzie" to Elizabeth, Harrison, Amelia, and Alex. She is also survived by her sister Mary Minassian, as well as a niece and nephew. Lucy was also predeceased by her sister, Alice Khachadourian.
Relatives and friends may call at the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church 255 Spring Avenue Troy on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10 AM - 12 PM with a Funeral service at 12 noon.
